Linnéstaden is according to many the most charming and exciting area of central Gothenburg. With an ever-evolving dining scene that offers food from all over the world; from classic Swedish dishes to culinary Chinese snacks, Indian rich stews and much, much more.
When you stroll around in Linnéstaden or picturesque Haga with its cobbled streets you will find lots of charming stores that sell both new and second-hand, as well as cozy cafes, pubs and outdoor seatings.
A short walk away is the city’s largest park Slottskogen, perfect for a stroll, picnic, refreshments or a visit to all the animals living in the park’s outdoor zoo. Among the animals you will find moose, sheep, seals, penguins, geese, horses and rabbits. Visiting the park and outdoor zoo is free of charge.
If you want to leave Linnéstaden to look around further there are numerous bus and tram lines at Järntorget, which is located around the corner from Feels Like Home. There you can easily get to the Central Station, Korsvägen, Avenyn and the ferry terminals for both Denmark and Germany ferries.
Perhaps you are more in the mood for an excursion out of the city bustle? Then we recommend a tram ride out to Saltholmen from Järntorget where you will reach the ocean cliffs as well as several boat connections to various beautiful islands in the archipelago.
In an area that has the most and with everything the city has to offer within easy reach, we hope that you will enjoy your stay with us!
